Peace of Mind (The Communist Song)

lyrics

Well, I work all day just to make a little money.
I sleep at night to get what I need.
I try to find the time to do the things I love,
But it's just circle of loss and defeat.
There are plenty of people with more than they need,
And it's nothing to do with the work that they've done.
Hide away their riches and flaunt their gluttony. They'll never share a dime with no one.
I ain't colored red, I'm not a communist.
But I sure could use some time,
To find me some peace of mind.

Well, Jimmy's Granddad was a self-made businessman.
He worked hard all his life to give his kids what he'd never had.
Now, 40 years removed are his 3 grandkids.
They're inheriting their life on a golden stick,
They'll never know the way it feels to never have,
Because they've always had.
